I am so behind with reading! So far, I have finished #1, #2, and #11 on my list. Here goes:

Michelle - it was okay.  I did not like the flow of the book. I don?t know what I expected, but it did not grab my attention and you know what we will do, we will pick it up, put it down again, pick it up. I finally finished and although I know more about our beautiful and classy First Lady, I do know if I would recommend this for a book club read.

A Letter to My Sisters and Looking thru the Fence were both by new author Voncele Savage. Great quotes throughout the book. Again, both books were not what I thought, but they were both very uplifting.

Okay - Color Me Butterfly - wonderful book! I cried, I laughed, I was angry, I was sad, I could truly relate so it was very emotional for me- what a wonderful journey. I had a problem with the entire Isaac thing even until the end (I will not go into detail). I cannot wait for our book club discussion next month. Sorry I have been MIA lately. It has been crazy the last couple of weeks. A few more weeks to go and this semester will be over! Gotta love higher ed....

Thank you for reading my books. I'm sorry they were not what you were expecting. I wrote them to encourage women and men who are caught in the web of domestic abuse.
I hope you had a merry Christmas and by all means be blessed in the new year.

Hi Voncele - Your books have a great message and when I mentioned they were not what I thought, I sincerely didn't mean this in a bad way at all. Have a great holiday and thanks for dropping by! I will have to look you up when I am in Jackson, MS again.

If you like ?The Shack? and ?The Secret? You will love this New and upcoming books making a stir. The best one I have heard about and I pre-ordered it already is a book by a unknown author titled THE TRUTH ?The Illumination of Conscience? the title itself stirs up a sense of intrigue. The one chapter that the author has available on his website http://www.thetruthbooksite.com seems very thought provoking and gives you a profound sense of understanding of how our world works. I look forward to getting the book and reading the rest. In anycase it is well worth checking out for yourself.

I understand the author is from New Orleans, Louisiana
